Dezigntechnic has developed the wayfinding strategy for Expo Village, Dubai. We carried out a study of the wayfinding and sign placement around the site and developed a brand identity through the interior and outdoor signage program. The wayfinding and signage strategy for Expo village caters to all users. The user groups we considered are residents, guest, staff and retail seekers. The user journey was taken into consideration for all who will access Expo village.The monumental sign at the entrance clearly identifies the property and welcomes all users. A customer-friendly series of parking signage provides a seamless parking experience and elevates the first impressio. This enhances the property's brand-building strategy. Internal signage included different sorts of identification signs, like reception identification signs, floor level identification signs, amenity identification signs, room & apartment number signs. Amenities and facilities are distinguished by proper use of pictograms. The signage is installed through proper placemaking and conveys clear and simple messages to the people.The design inspiration for the project was a sophisticated, simplified, tech-enabled, human-centric city of the future. The signage was connected by using a consistent design language, incorporating curves in the logo to create the shape of the sign and bright orange to highlight the wayfinding tools so users can spot them with ease. We translated the Expo village brand through our signage by carefully selecting design elements from the aesthetic of Expo village.Dezigntechnic created branded signage to connect the different pieces of the project and create a welcoming and engaging environment for Expo village. Our solutions provide easy navigation from the entrance to residences and other amenities, resulting in a smoother and extended residential experience.
