Dezigntechnic developed the wayfinding  solution for Fakeeh University Hospital, a premier academic facility hospital that brings together clinical care, education, and research, located in Dubai.

We implemented a wayfinding strategy to improve the overall patient experience to reduce anxiety and stress and favorably influence healthcare outcomes. The strategies we use include signage, color coding, symbols, and other environmental cues, offering simple, clear information on location and context. Our directional signage helped new students, staff, and visitors at the FUH campus to find the exact buildings they need to go to, as well as navigate within them.

Vital parking information was placed directly next to the pay meters to improve the overall hospital wayfinding system. The indoor and outdoor wayfinding signs provide clear direction toward different buildings and key points within them, like exits and entryways, classrooms, emergency rooms, vending areas, and more.

A visual "language" was developed to aid users in navigating the facility, as well as dynamic and positive spaces that lift the spirits of patients, staff, and visitors. Taken altogether, our wayfinding strategy serves as a key element of FUH’s healthcare design process.
