One Central: Elevating Experiences by Transforming Navigation

Dezigntechnic has devised a new wayfinding system for One Central by analysing the existing wayfinding condition, identifying the key issues and proposing effective solutions. The current wayfinding system had many shortcomings such as low visibility, obstructed signage, unclear identification of office buildings, and inconsistent design. We recommended and implemented measures such as clear office building identification, map information signs, strategic placement of signage and consistent design to enhance navigation and create a cohesive wayfinding system at One Central. The new signage design draws inspiration from the brand's guidelines, strategically incorporating design elements and colours to maintain coherence, reinforce the brand's identity, and enhance the visitor experience by creating a unified visual experience that seamlessly connects with the development. We enhanced navigation by implementing a colour zoning strategy that extends to internal and parking signage, ensuring consistent colour coding, design integration, and graphic elements.

The internal signage displays colour-coded alphanumeric signage and digital map directory signage which ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience within the building. The external signage enhances wayfinding with a monument sign reflecting the architectural design and brand colours, while incorporating branded seating areas to enhance the visitor experience, reflecting the brand's identity and creating visually appealing spaces. Dezigntechnic's analysis of the existing wayfinding system led to innovative solutions that integrated brand colours, architectural elements, bilingual messaging, and intuitive graphics, resulting in a transformed, user-friendly, and memorable navigation experience for visitors at the mixed-use master-planned development One Central.
