Dezigntechnic developed a layered wayfinding strategy for Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood — a district known for its intricate alleys, heritage spaces, and dense pedestrian flow. Navigating the site was often disorienting for visitors, with minimal spatial cues and fragmented routes between key cultural landmarks.
This system created an intuitive path network that enhances spatial awareness across the site, helping people move naturally between museums, courtyards, and key gathering points. Each decision was rooted in observation reading how people explore, pause, and redirect within this unique urban texture. Without altering the identity of the place, the wayfinding brings structure to movement, enabling discovery while maintaining the authenticity of the cultural experience.
